Handpicked from the most delicate and tender portions of the tea bush, early morning and just before sunrise, this White is a class apart. White Tea is made from leaves harvested while very young, and the buds are still covered in very fine, white hairs (silver tips). These hairs are what which gives white tea its name. Like green tea, the leaves are not fermented.

Okayti is one of Darjeeling’s largest estates with an annual production of almost 175,000 kgs. With a naturally scenic landscape of tea bushes, Okayti also offers beautiful views of the Mirik Valley. With one of the highest average elevations ranging from 4000-6200 feet, Okayti produces some of the finest certified organic Darjeeling teas every season.
PREPARATION
How to prepare a perfect cup of tea?
- Take 1 teaspoon tea leaves. About 1.5 grams of leaves is ideal for a white tea preparation
- Pour freshly boiled water over the tea leaves.
- Boil the water to 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit. You can then let it cool down to up to 80-90 degrees or 175-195 degrees Fahrenheit
- Steep for 4-5 minutes depending on your taste.
- Strain the leaves out & enjoy.
- Best consumed without milk

The strong airtight zipper works as the second seal and there is no need to transfer the teas in another container once you open the initial seal of the package. The tea can be stored in the same package till you consume it entirely. Just ensure that the package is stored away from heat or sunlight.
